Firearm Safety Courses taught by Retired Police Officers
These are the 3 courses we offer!
(LTC CLASS)
Certified Firearm Basic Safety
Duration: 4 Hours
Location: Our Classroom
Cost: $150 Per Student
This four hour interactive course incorporates a Power-Point presentation, Hands on demonstrations and teachings on the proper handling of firearms. Students will handle real revolvers and semi-automatic firearms. (this course does not include Live Fire Training). We will cover gun safety, gun storage, firearm categories and maintenance of parts. We'll also discuss magazines, ammunition, loading & unloading of firearms, sights, what's expected at the range, cleaning your firearm, & most importantly, the Massachusetts Gun laws. Upon completion of our course, you will receive your Massachusetts State Certificate along with an LTC / FID application, that we complete together, to be submitted to your local police department.
Range Training
1 on 1 with instructor

Duration: 3-4 hours
Location: At Our Range
Cost: $300 Per Student
Our program is designed to make you comfortable with all aspects of shooting. This is 1 on 1 - Instructor/Student. This course covers stance, posture, strong eye determination, grip, trigger management and much more. Our program starts with 22. caliber semi-automatic pistols and then when comfortable, you will move on to a variety of different calibers including, .380, .38, 9mm, .40 & .45. You also shoot revolvers. Our course incorporates the latest and most popular brands of handguns including, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Sig Sauer and more. You will shoot hundreds of rounds! Live fire training is available by appointment only (we're pretty flexible) and sessions are 3-4 hours.
At the conclusion of this course you will be comfortable and confident in your ability to handle a varitey of firearms and will know what firearm caliber, brand, and frame size is correct for you.
---Please note--- to be eligible to participate in a live fire, students need to have already attended a 4 hour Basic Firearm Safety Class
Private Class In Your Home
(LTC CLASS)
Duration: 4 Hours
Location: In Your Home
Cost: $200 Per Student
Would you like a Private Class in the comfort of your own home or private location? We offer the Certified Firearm Basic Safety Class at a location of your choosing on your own schedule. (we're pretty flexible) We bring all the materials needed for class, however a television monitor with an HDMI connection is required. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your Massachusetts State Certificate of completion along with an LTC / FID application to be submitted to your local police department. The cost is $200.00 per student, with a minimum charge of $400.00

About Mass Firearm Safety Training
Thank you for visiting Mass Firearm Safety Training. We teach the 4 hour class required to obtain your License to Carry (L.T.C.) or Firearms Identification Card (F.I.D.) in Massachusetts. This class qualifies both resident and non-residents to legally obtain firearms but most importantly, learn how to handle a firearm in a safe and confident manner. Students receive a Certificate at the end of class. Your instructor will assist you in completing your Application to your local Police Department as well. We're located in Foxborough, Massachusetts and accessible to the Greater Boston region with parking available.
Our Instructors are retired Police Officers with a combined experience of 60 years of service to our local communities.
